HabitatGrowing in a swamp under a canopy of Melaleuca squarrosa and amongst Gahnia radula, in part shade and waterlogged soil. Gleichenia microphylla forms a thicket that is scandent on the Melaleuca, occasionally growing as tall as 3 metres.
